The results are in:

Satellite images from Ukrainian intelligence services GUR reveal, yesterday Ukraine managed to damage one of Russia's modern Su-57 aircraft, at the Akhtubinsk airfield in Astrakhan Oblast using a long range drone.

Introduced in 2020, these are brand new, very capable, highly expensive aircraft — in some ways similar to our F-35.

With every one lost, Putin looses USD 35,000,000.

And as Putin only had 22 of these aircraft, losing even just a few of them is serious.

@randahl The Su-57 is Russia's answer to the F22.

@randahl @anderspuck are these cope cages around the planes on the ground?

@randahl

Good to hear that now russia has promoted the SU-57 to a drone interception device!

However I slightly disagree with the notion that this damage would cost russia $35 million because the money was already spent and I believe it is highly unlikely that in the current situation they even think of replacing it. russia spends its war money on thinks like refurbishing tanks, buying North Korean artillery shells and Chinese golf carts.
