@alice Galvanic is permanent, once it's a successful "hit". You don't get a 100% hit rate though it's generally pretty high - the skill of your electrologist definitely plays into it.
Do be prepared for discomfort, and let them know if they have the juice cranked up too high for your tolerance. Overjuicing can leave marks, so you don't want to just "toughen it out" (guess how I know...). And be prepared to be surprised at just how many individual hairs there are 😩
