@alice @rooster It is permanent, but you need to hit the different cycles of hair growth - so they'll clear an area and then need to go back. I was doing both face and then later bottom surgery prep, so that meant a lot more too.

Part of the reason it became a longer process too was that I had to decrease from one 2-hour session a week to one every other week and then once a month because my nervous system had increasingly worse reactions as HRT made my skin thinner and more sensitive (I really urge people to do it early in HRT journey!).

I also have really weirdly shaped blond hairs that curly and stubborn. And I had also done six months of laser hair removal for my darkest hairs on my face, which was not permanent, and meant I had a whole new crop of hairs begin to reemerge like 2 years after that.

My situation was weird and not typical, honestly. And the speed and skill of your electrologist matters (I've had 4 different ones of different skill and speed).
