Hey players,

If I have the box set for A Game of Armored Combat, with a couple extra Lances of mechs, what should be my next game book? I have no concept of eras and I'm unsure how it even matters either. I just want to make the mechs go pew pew pew POW EXPLOSIONS!!!!.

@Mycomancer If you want all the rules for all units--Total Warfare.

If you want to build your own units--TechManual.

If you just want more mechs and units to choose from--Technical Readouts (TRO). My recommendations:

Mechs only: Succession Wars and Clan Invasion.

Vehicles too: 3039 & 3058.

@Dionysus @Mycomancer I've long stuck with the simple rules of Classic Battletech from earlier versions. Kept the tech at 3025 level eras and skipped the Clans.

I also experimented with Mech Attack - a very simple, but fun mech game where I was able to recreate the BT 3025 Mechs in it. Worked very well!
