just think about this little turt growing up into that enormous dinosaur! i don't think ive ever seen one at this like "teen" stage before. they are so cute. not as cute as the tiny baby pancakes but still. i have to wonder how many of these are in the lagoon. the big one could theoretically be the same one i saw last year though it's possible that one was even bigger. i love turtles
i just compared the pictures and i think there is a distinct possibility this is the same turt. i saw this one not far from where i saw the one last year so i would bet it's the same one. cool!
@loren At my park, I put ours on the copier and kept records. Some did show up repeatedly. Visitors got in on the fun and brought them in. We returned each one to its found location after copying. Some ladies got a special visit with our nature center educational turtle Don Juansta. Even the rangers were pimping for him, picking ladies off the road on rainy days. Don was always willing to oblige them as he'd gotten desperate enough he was humping the toes of peoples' hiking boots!
@MonarchLady hahaha i don't think id want to be the one picking this big guy up to get them up on the copier personally hahaha. i've seen how long those necks can get hahaha
@loren I only saw your last comment and didn't see the picture. Yeah, Don was a box turtle. I've handled snappers before (with a great deal of respect!) but nope, not going on the copier! They're too damn fast to be that friendly with!
