@DemocracyMattersALot no, it's used to grow everything, but that doesn't mean it ends up in your food, at least in more than very low quantities.
While as any product of this kind it's a bad idea to have frequent and large exposures — and that's why farmers are very much advised to use protection — just like any toxic product, there is a dose to the poison.
This article advise growing your own food, but ironically, gardeners overuse that stuff way more than farmers.
