Why are multimillionaires and billionaires like Peter Thiel, Rupert Murdoch, Travis Kalanick, Steven Mnuchin, and others are rallying behind Trump?

Yes, the tax cuts. But there's more.

The more Trump tears down democracy, the safer the oligarchy becomes.

Billionaires want:

  1. To keep the tax evasion
  2. To keep frying the planet
  3. To keep the money laundering
  4. To keep the public corruption
  5. To convert taxpayer funded government into a grift
  6. To impose their religious, economic, & political beliefs on others
  7. To end "government for the people, by the people"

Best we can do is to live our own lives and build more minisubs.

In the study of ecologies, the size of the prey population determines the size of the predator population.

The current size of the world population of 8.1 billion people is supporting a population of 2781 billionaires

It's only cost the very habitability of the planet.

@Npars01 @rbreich Billionaires cannot identify with anyone other than fellow billionaires. How can a billionaire identify with people that don’t own their own super yacht, mega jets, their own island getaways and underground bunkers where they believe they can wait out the “end times”. What is climate change to these people, they view themselves above the laws of man and nature.

It’s a largely forgotten piece of history, but in 1932 the German Nazi Party was facing financial ruin. How did the Nazis move from being broke to being in control of the German government just a year later? The Nazi Party was bailed out by German industrialists in early 1933.

@rbreich What they don't understand, because rich people are shockingly gullible (they're obsessed with money and think they can't lose) is that under Trump, they will be bound to his whims, unable to steer their own fates. The more power they give him, the more enslaved they will be. He'll drag them down, too, eventually. It's who he is.

MylesRyden ,

It is very simple they want no accountability whatsoever for the billionaire class.

No taxes, no DOJ, no anti-trust, no consumer lawsuits.

Of course they want government to still provide the stuff they want -- military and police protection, infrastructure, lucrative contracts, etc.

@rbreich it's more than tax cuts. The international 1% think they are setting up a new world order with them at the top. There is just Europe and the USA in their way. Brazil has fought back, but India appears to be on the verge of falling. China may be helping them because the 1% are taking out their competition, but China shouldn't be so cocky about their ability come out on top against the world's 1%ers.
