@epidiah you could do that. Or you could download the upgraded version on a USB stick, boot to it, and see if your keyboard still works. If so, do the upgrade at your leisure. :)
(What kind of fuckup could disable keyboards on the brand of laptop which is probably the most popular ever with Linux users????)
