Whilst using the Mastodon web user interface, I saw a post by @LALegault, which had been re-posted by @bhaugen (whom I follow). I re-posted it myself, and I was going to check out if I was following LALEgault's account already, so I clicked through their username to view their profile. It was then that instead of displaying their profile, mastodon dot social displayed a warning
Sorry that I didn't take the precaution of capturing a screenshot, as that blindsided me a bit, but I can try to reproduce it using a different account if needed.
I was curious what the text of it was. But thinking on it more, I've seen more than enough pearl clutching from racists supporting genocide, it's not important. Unless @LALegault wants to hear about it.
Oh, I just figured it out. Is because @LALegault is knowledgable about colonizer language of colonial FRANCE, and Germany's fash (knowledgable about colonizer language of colonial GERMANY) holds onto its resentments from hundreds of years ago about Battle of Normandy?
Or something like that? Do I trust Wikipedia to tell me about that? (indie looks it up and ... yeah, pretty much what I thought it was)
