As it has been done at exact moment when political protests started to gain traction, many people here are sure that all these restrictions have been introduced just to suppress protests against falsifications at elections.
In Russia opposition events still forbidden under "covid restrictions" sauce while pro-putin events allowed.
These are examples of why many people doubt these restrictions were necessary.
