I hate that now I feel the need to check the aircraft my flights will be using.

I used to be marveled by the Boeing 787 and afraid of the 737 MAX but now thanks to @pluralistic I found out they're all ticking bombs...

What bleak reminder that American Exceptionalism is a thing of the past.

@junkman @pluralistic It's like Atlas Shrugged in reverse with everything going to shit because of the profit motive. At this point a secret group of civil servants and government regulators should go off to some hidden, remote location and create a perfect society based on oversight and accountability.

I remember reading a few years back how Cory would ride a bus from Toronto to NY decades ago and I'll be doing the same in a few weeks specifically because 1) a flight seems like too much, and 2) reading it in pluralistic.net planted the seed in my head
