I hate that now I feel the need to check the aircraft my flights will be using.

I used to be marveled by the Boeing 787 and afraid of the 737 MAX but now thanks to @pluralistic I found out they're all ticking bombs...

What bleak reminder that American Exceptionalism is a thing of the past.

I remember reading a few years back how Cory would ride a bus from Toronto to NY decades ago and I'll be doing the same in a few weeks specifically because 1) a flight seems like too much, and 2) reading it in pluralistic.net planted the seed in my head

@press_rouch I'm glad of the attention it receives.

I really liked how the book portrayed "old" people. They're just people! After reading it I was left thinking: "damn, I wanna continue growing up to be like Martin"
