@GottaLaff If the House could hold an anonymous vote on this, I wonder how close to the required two-thirds majority they'd get to expelling MTG from the House.
@GottaLaff. NFL, the republican/Maga focus is chaos, disruption, then they can say, see the system we have doesn't work, we need something different. MTG is just full time pushing this agenda.
@GottaLaff I do find it a little hilarious to think about Kevin McCarthy's reaction to this as he realizes they didn't help him because he was such an asshole they just didn't want to.
Her plan doomed? If Johnson needs the help of Dems to stay, in the eyes of MAGA, he is doomed. She may not be the smartest, but even she plays politics better than Dems/centrists.

Did anyone expect anything else? The agenda is, and always will be, chaos and Trump devotees ALWAYS double-down, no matter how stupid and futile it is. They think it's a sign of strength and integrity.
I suppose it depends what her plan is? It seems to me her plan is to force a vote, have Johnson saved by the Dems, then start campaigning against him and other R's as a 'RINOs' who only control the speakership with help of Dems. . .
@GottaLaff I'm dying to know why Dems would be interested in helping Mike Johnson. I mean who really cares about what happens to the guy; he's conservative after all.
@GottaLaff Compromise. In return for Mike allowing the Ukraine bill to go through (finally) the democrats agreed to protected Mike from those who were against it. All the democrats plus only a few republicans were enough to sink the last speaker, it is those same handfuls trying the same thing again, but if just a few democrats join with the majority of republicans they can reward Mike for doing something they wanted.
Don't forget too that for a month or so the House was in chaos from lack of a speaker. Thus hurt the democrats too as without a speaker it is hard to get anything they want done.
Finally, by protecting Mike they have future leverage - we helped you, not help us get this other thing we want done.
