Yeah, but CU paved the way for trump and the like. John Roberts is a traitor.

As unlikely as that sounds, an NYC DOT truck accidentally hit a former mafia boss and decapitated him.

According to people that knew him, the victim (Anthony Conigliaro) was “always looking out for others.”

Should’ve been looking out for trucks

I have to admit, this is the first time I've seen a DOT truck identified as a crime boss.

In my defense, it was the article’s phrasing, not mine lol.

Not a bad idea. If I recall, most of Iceland uses this method, no?

Granted, they’re a volcanic island that sits at the tip of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge so it’s relatively easier for them to access this type of energy, but it’s seems like it is a pretty reliable source of green energy.

The heat energy in the earth is already there, so why not use it?

They'll just redo it if rains. In fact, it looks like they've already redone it at least once.

Trump lost his home town by about 90% of the vote.

People were literally dancing in the streets when his 2020 loss was announced.

This is my favorite Trump article it explains in detail why the Manhattan elites and the art world despise him

I can save you some time as to why they hate him. It's because he's a walking bag of stinking refuse.

Dagwood222 ,

Read the article. It's done in a very dry way that makes everything ten times funnier.

Spoiler = there's a guest appearance by John Barron!!

When money comes from the taxpayers and goes to people who are friends with the money-allocating decision maker people, it's not a "waste," from the decision makers' point of view.

Also applies to "expensive" wars, and also does a lot to explain why funding schools or the USPS is hard but funding the military is super easy. It's not a cost; it's a big ol' haystack of cash that fell from the sky, and we gotta do that again real soon, man.

somethingsnappy ,

Maybe an addendum for wars is there are 95,000+ public schools and 19 large defense contractors. Funneling the money to the few is our (stupid) american way.

I’ve been pestering my wife that I want to switch back to powder for the dish washer and liquid for the clothes washer.

This will likely make me insist.

reddig33 , in New York City Is Considering a Laundry Pods Crackdown: Laundry and dishwasher detergent pods made with polyvinyl alcohol, or PVA, contribute to plastics pollution in US waterways.

I always thought they were made from gelatin or something similarly biodegradable. Guess I won’t be buying any more pods.

TommySoda , in New York City Is Considering a Laundry Pods Crackdown: Laundry and dishwasher detergent pods made with polyvinyl alcohol, or PVA, contribute to plastics pollution in US waterways.

So much for "dissolving" in water, huh?

But for real every single time I used one of these I always ended up with a melted piece of plastic stuck to one of the pieces of clothes I washed. Stopped using them because of that.

silence7 OP ,

Yep. It's really not a big deal to use liquid or powder detergent.
