First strawberries! For those that grow them, how big is your patch? ( lemmy.world )
Our kids wish we had more. I'm not sure which verity these are, but they put out tons of runners which makes me not want to put them directly in soil....

First garden project so we didn't know quite what to expect; thinking we should have given them a little more space. They've completely grown over the basil and in the past 2 days shot out of the netting. It's exciting they're doing so well though....
Still tossing some ideas for some row coverage or critter guard, but a little more difficult with the supports, would need to be taller. Could leave top open, but than can’t use for frost.
Us: Leaves a spot empty because we ran out of plants/seeds....
In this bed we have Russian cukes on the right, and some taller tomatoes on the left, there is snap peas in the smaller pots....
Got a little excited and accidentally picked some still green ones, but hey! First ever fruit I’ve grown! Tastes all the sweeter for it! Thanks everyone for all of your advice! I’ve got so many more still turning, I’ll have to make some blueberry cobbler once they’re all done.

Working on some critter guards, but I’ve been spending my time modifying under the deck for a larger dog run for when I get a new dog. In the pots are peas. The close raised bed is flowers and strawberry plant....
Rock is called Alberta Rainbow Rock, probably under a different name elsewhere, shows its color when wet. I cut a strip of grass out so I could have the rock be about 4” deep where the grass is. Other than that left the old grass to compost underneath the rest.
Spent the day pulling honeysuckle vines out of a homesteader client's back fence. I turned a perfectly good set of pruning shears into beaters pulling all that stuff out, but this guy was just extra in every way
In this bed, for starters we have San marzano, brandy wine and love gourmanson sunrise tomatoes, and some pollinator flowers....
Most stuff should be able to take it, but lots of pepper and tomatoe starts.
The plant is still small, but it's putting off a few here and there and man are they tasty. Looking forward to getting enough to actually do something next season
The beans, salads, tomatoes and others are finally growing a bit quicker. With the fourth or fifth start of spring, I hope this time the temperatures keep staying up....
I didn't plant it (intentionally) but it's definitely more than a weed. I'm letting it grow just to see what it wants to grow up to be.
