HR/Recruiters/Employers

If you're going to list a job ad as "Remote work/WFH", but you actually mean "you can work remotely but we require you to be in-office 2 days a week", please say that in the ad.

"Remote work with a requirement for 2 days in-office" makes it clear that this is not a remote friendly role and saves everyone time in not applying/reviewing applications for people who don't live "near" the office.

Also accept that this "requirement" drastically reduces your talent pool.

Let's put the difference in large numbers into perspective shall we.

If you were to count up by 1 every second, it would take:

11.57 days to reach 1 million

31.69 years to reach 1 billion

3169 years to reach 100 billion

449,980 years to reach 14.2 trillion

14.2 trillion is the estimated collective wealth (2024) of the world's current 2,781 billionaires.

Tax the rich/wealth tax is not taxing the upper middle class or low millionaires.

Billionaires should not exist. Period.

General reminder for people who live in snowy areas and have personal vehicles.

Clean the snow off your entire vehicle, especially the roof.

On my drive to the dentist this morning I saw three vehicles stopped in the road with their hazard lights on because the snow on their roof had slid down onto their windshield and they could no longer see.

Hard ice and snow can also fly off and hurt pedestrians and damage vehicles, and the soft snow will give the person behind you a mini snow storm.
