From our reenacting world but of interest to Napoleonic/War of 1812 enthusiasts.

Bugle calls were used to manage the troops in the field.

Here are some we are to employ this year.

Re-enacting Memories: the late Jon Latimer.

I first met Jon in Cardiff Castle and we struck up a friendship at the time.

He shook off the horror of wearing a 41st coat rather than his beloved 23rd and joined us on the 2007 march to Queenston Heights.

We were deeply saddened by his untimely passing in 2009.

These are from 2008. This would have been the 2nd or 3rd annual dinner of the 41st Regiment, which also served as a change of command dinner.

Reenacting Memories (well sort of).

2010 Raymond Hobbs and myself traveled to Cardiff to take part in the opening dedication of the Firing Line Museum in Cardiff Castle.

We had the opportunity to meet King Charles and then an interesting moment, I took a picture of King Charles meeting a "Zulu" who had traveled from Natal for the ceremony.

Some time later I saw a link to a Natal newspaper with a story on his travels and saw a picture of me taking his picture!
