On this date in 2015, I finally made it to Waterloo!

I had heard the stories of previous events for years. I was determined to go. Just did not think I had to lead an organizing committee to get there!

In 2015, the 18th was for arrivals, drill and their big light show.

The battle recreations were to fall on the evenings of the 19th and 20th (Friday & Saturday) to maximize the crowds.

Re-enacting Memory: 2015. (On the Road to Waterloo) Cardiff and area.

After a day of ceremonies, a free day. Our wonderful local friends took us out for adventures.

We finished our day with a visit with the Comrades Association and in the Sergeant's Mess. (Maindy Barracks)

Re-enacting Memory: 9 years ago today. (2015 our prelude to Waterloo)

We were in Cardiff at the Millennium Stadium as part of the Colours Ceremony for the Royal Welsh.

Photos are mine with the exception of the shot of the Queen on the ramp in the stadium which is from the stadium website.

I am on the right hand side, second up from the floor!

Reenacting Memory: Waterloo, 2015. Another photo by Kevin Wolf. A companion to yesterday's post.

The first night, the walls of the structure were destroyed.

For the second night, there were attempts by those inside to fabricate something.

But they did not last long.
