it used to run pretty well on one, but the lead dev made significant changes making it a bitch to run without doing it "his way". What I ended having to do was change my nginx configuration so that I was using the one in his docker-compose directly as opposed to running my own that would point to his for mail related needs.

I forgot what exactly broke but when I reported that breakage I basically got told "tough shit, it works on my set up", I don't remember being demanding or impolite just reporting the issue and asking if he was aware of/had plans to fix it. Not too long after the product was acquired and I chalked it up to enshittification and shitty dev being a shitty dev.

TLDR; good luck and ymmv

They are saying that your answer is indicative of the attitudes prevalent of your home instance. It's a very common fediverse method of attempting to dismiss arguments that someone doesn't agree with but can't otherwise disprove.

Avoid Virpus VPS

Figured I would hopefully save others from the annoyances I've had with their service. I experienced daily high packet loss to both my VPS and their website, including the control panel (greater than 50%, typically). The control panel was broken and couldn't tell me the status of my VPS. When I asked for a root cause and fix...

I stopped reading after the bullshit that is

"amphetamine the drug called speed" No it isn't you stupid dipshit, that's methamphetamine fucking do a basic Wikipedia search you stupid fuck

toastboy79 ,

I suffer ADHD and Adderall (amphetamine) is a cure for alot of people who have it. Calling it the street name of an illicit drug makes treatment infinitely harder for other people who suffer it.

While the treatment doesn't work for me (high blood pressure and naturally easily agitated), if I don't stand up and say 'hey that ain't fucking right!' then I haven't done a god damn thing to help my fellow ADHD kid and that don't sit right with me.

An ignorance of chemistry and science is nothing to be proud of, it's how we end up with a group of religious dipshits forcing their beliefs on people and restricting people's reproductive rights. Try opening a book instead of the TV next time, maybe you'll learn something.

toastboy79 ,

I maintain the only reason it has that street name is due to ignorance of the difference between Adderall and meth. Wasn't too long ago I was listen to conspiracy theorists say it was the same thing based on some bullshit they heard.

whatever you say conversative enabler

For those wondering what WIRED means, it means that for the effective time of the drug in our systems we don't have 5 million conflicting thoughts in our heads and for the first time in our lives we can focus on a task, remember tiny details, not run into various obstacles, and a myriad of other tasks that people without ADHD have never struggled with.

In short, for the 4 hours that pill is in our system and working, we can experience being fucking normal and not a gigantic mess struggling to juggle everything life needs from us.

toastboy79 ,

I could see that, but I would also have to ask 'what exactly do we gain by having access to these tools when we aren't home?'

I used to try to do all of that but I started to realize, I spend too much time dealing with broken shit. Coming to the mindset of if I'm not home and it doesn't work then oh well has been one hell of a stress relief for me

toastboy79 ,

That's a fair position, but let me ask. Are you donating to Mozilla on a monthly basis?

toastboy79 ,

Hell yeah man, carry on then. Nice to meet someone who walks the walk while talking the talk

Miniclip and addicting games were so good! Those were simpler times for sure.

It has a lot to do with money and technology. By the time we were able to have electric vehicles, oil companies were loaded and companies like to make money. So they spend money to lobby and keep themselves entrenched. Throw in some good feel bullshit to placate a simple majority of the people and that brings us to today.

I don't think you understand just how stupid my fellow country members are. We literally say "hey to prevent getting yourself and others sick, you should do these steps" making it a suggestion of reasonable things.

the response "my freedoms are being trampled". I fucking wish they actually were.

toastboy79 ,

That would be some really cool data to view "how stubborn are the attitudes in different countries" and "how many personalities are stubborn in different countries"

toastboy79 ,

true true, that's an excellent term for it. If only we could somehow assess it with metrics and data

Supreme Court, siding with Starbucks, makes it harder for NLRB to win court orders in labor disputes ( apnews.com )

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday made it harder for the federal government to win court orders when it suspects a company of interfering in unionization campaigns in a case that stemmed from a labor dispute with Starbucks....

This was quite a wonderful way to handle a miscommunication and I was glad to witness it.

Thanks for restoring some hope that the fediverse is capable of handling such issues with respect and courtesy.
