Hey y'all! We're a coupla weeks into June and Biden got his white hand kissed by Billy Porter at a celebration for some reason. Weird how the federal recognition of a holiday with Black self-actualizing origins gets us to a moment like that but I think it truly calls for another Juneteenth reparations thread!

Procedure: Black ppl, post your cashapp, gofundmes, ko-fis, etc Others--especially if you're getting Juneteenth off at your work--pls boost, and donate if you have the means!

If you're gonna use the "Nobody's free until everybody's free." Make sure you attribute it to the working-class black woman activist who said it, Fanie Lou Hamer. Don't act like you just got the words out of space.

Leftists have a habit of using Black women's words while ignoring our existence. Work on that.

Hey y'all! so last year on I started a lil thread. Some racist assholes took issue with that...

So this year I'll be making multiple threads throughout the month! It's now June where I am so I'm eager to get started.

Other folks, (especially if you're benefitting from the federal holiday) throw them coins if you got the means and boost replies in the thread for circulation

Wild that colleges are cool with the KKK and confederate flags on campus but not with students expressing solidarity with people experiencing a genocide, and that conservatives are constantly bemoaning their right to free speech when they are in fact the ones curtailing it for others.

I'm going to an action this week (I consider this the bare minimum). If you're an American academic I hope you are too.

I cannot fathom the pain and horror to suffer 96 bullets in 41 seconds.

I hope that I may learn more things about Dexter Reed besides the 96 bullets in 41 seconds.

I hope that his mother will be able to grieve in peace. I pray for her healing. I can only imagine the anguish she is enduring as the ones who killed her son stand on his grave to justify and give reasons for 96 bullets in 41 seconds.

Obviously we know the guy who took out a full-page newspaper ad advocating for the execution of 5 black men would be worse than Biden.

White (and white-aspiring/adjacent) democrats on here, consider doing something more useful than attempting to lecture black and brown people online by telling them things they already know.
