Something I don't see pointed out in all these “the US just sent $X millions in weapons to Ukraine" is that the money was already spent.

We're not going to the defense contractor shopping mall to pick up some missiles and bombs for a friend with our credit card. It's more like we're raiding our backyard shed for tools to let the neighbor borrow.

As someone who normally buys cheap-as-chips second hand mobile CAD/CAM corporate mobile workstations (think Dell Precision, HP Elitebooks etc) can someone up-to-date tell me what is technically new here apart from branding and marketing?

I've changed mobile graphics cards via MXM, screens, keyboard, and added memory to 32Mb in my current Dell Precision 75x0 2016-18 machine - with a screwdriver or three, without being that tech savvy

Any thoughts?

@Natasha_Jay As I understand it you can swap USB ports if one dies without having to know how to solder. And because the laptop frame is standardized you can swap the entire motherboard out (like for a faster CPU -- or even swapping from Intel to AMD) while keeping everything else the same.

@Natasha_Jay They also have a new product that turns the old main board into a small desktop PC (albeit with a mobile chipset). It's interesting!

@Natasha_Jay Unfortunately I do think they're limited to integrated graphics. I honestly didn't even think about MXM.

That should absolutely be a product they offer!
