"Israel has generated 'famine-like conditions' in the Gaza Strip 'while obstructing and undermining the humanitarian response', according to a new report by humanitarian group Refugees International.

    Reminder: Israel’s next legal battle at the will be a hearing on the UN's request to examine the legality of the occupation in the West Bank. Finally 🙄

    The public hearing on the request, filed on Palestinian initiative, will take place Monday, 19 February 2024 in The Hague. An opinion is expected to be published towards the end of the year.

    What it’s about:

    : “Legal Consequences arising from the Policies and Practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem” (Request for Advisory Opinion) is a proceeding in the International Court of Justice (), stemming from a resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly () in December 2022, requesting the Court to render an advisory opinion.

    The assessment among Israeli experts is that in the best case it will be decided that is severely violating the laws of occupation, and in the worst case that Israel is guilty of or that Israel must immediately evacuate the territories.

    One possibility is that the UN will adopt it, and then the Palestinians or various countries will try to promote practical steps to implement it. These steps can be far-reaching. Countries can act accordingly, and take economic and other measures against the State of Israel.

    U.S. admits it hasn’t verified Israel’s claims, media ignores it

    Secretary Blinken admits that the U.S. has been unable to investigate the “evidence” presented by Israel claiming 13 of UNRWA’s 13,000 employees participated in October 7. took Israel’s word for it anyway.

    Many on the pro-Israel and Israeli right and center believe doing away with UNRWA would essentially allow Israel to do away with Palestinian refugees because they believe UNRWA is the only thing maintaining that generational definition.

    US Secretary of State Antony stated, “We haven’t had the ability to investigate [the allegations] ourselves. But they are highly, highly credible.”

    CCTV footage of Israeli special forces attacking a hospital in Jenin, harassing patients, stealing wheelchairs and then later (off camera) assassinating 3 patients before leaving the hospital has been released (you can see it on my telegram channel)

    Israel is completely out of control and have 0 regards for human lives or international laws. While the western leaders standing on the pedestals of morality and humanity, they turn a blind eye on war crimes comitted by IDF and unconditionally supporting this rouge nations under the false cover of the "right to defence".

    Israel did the same in the past, but we were not able to see them, their leaders and supporters and an army of "activists" called the accusations for false, Palestinians for liars and human rights groups for antisemitic.

    But we have video after vide,o showing clear violations of palestinians rights and assassination of injured, elderly, children and in this case hospital patients. But still we hear 0 reaction from the disgusting leaders of the west who rather starve millions of desperate Palestinians, than condemn crimes of war comitted by Israeli forces.

    From the lies of October 7 to the lies about the UNRWA, the world is falling for the professional con man Netanyahu in compliance to commit genocide.

    Jerusalem Post is a conservative Israeli publication, having this published by them means the situation is really alarmingly bad.

    It's truly sad that we have such level of celf censorship in the west when it comes to Israel.

    @KarunaX @faab64 German (mainstream!) media is very often copy-pasting text unreflected and unquestioned. They often repeat but with gaps what other media is reporting. For example, there is no German (mainstream!) journalist in region, only a few independent (they are not really independent but at least they don't work for mainstream media) journalists and some individual people but also they cannot say what happens in the defense ministries (of both sides). They can only report what they are being told by locals and military personnel.
