The Biden FTC is on a roll.

It banned noncompete clauses.

It blocked the Kroger/Albertsons merger that would send grocery bills skyrocketing.

Now it's taking action against Adobe for allegedly trapping users in pricey subscriptions.

This is government working for the people.

I've been impacted by 1 and 3. Currently using a 6+ year old laptop because I have a paid-for copy of that won't run on newer machines. No upgrade path other than "The " to rent the software. Dumped for several years back since I need it only occasionally.

80 years ago, the greatest generation of patriotic Americans and Allied forces stormed the Normandy shores on D-Day to throw out the Nazis.

This year, all you have to do is “storm” the polls and vote.

June 4th marks the 35th anniversary of the Tiananmen massacre, in which the PLA killed hundreds, possibly thousands of civilians, stamping out weeks of protests in the heart of China’s capital. The government still suppresses mention and memorializing of the 1989 killings in Beijing. https://www.rfa.org/english/cartoons/tiananmen-35-years-later-05312024152814.html

This sounds like a joke, but I promise you it is real:

The reason why Congress has not yet agreed on aid to Ukraine and Israel is, Marjorie Taylor Greene is flooding the house floor with fantasy amendments, including:

  1. Requiring members of Congress to sign up for fighting in Ukraine

  2. Requiring Ukraine to “close all bio-laboratories” (A conspiracy theory created by Vladimir Putin)

  3. Introducing “space lasers” to protect the US border

Obviously, none of these amendments will be adopted.

The legislative version "flooding the zone" with crap.

To paraphrase another on masto: "In would be considered a useful idiot. Here in the US she's just an ."

Prove it.

“Vowing the U.S. Will ‘Do Our Job,’ #Johnson Searches for a Path on #Ukraine

The Republican speaker, with his job on the line, has privately told people he would make sure the House moves to assist Ukraine, a step that many members of his party oppose.”

is so lame. There are no barriers for to just let funding come up for a vote. Anything else is just dissembling.

We must support and at least push back on !! ✊
