I had quite a few top 100 or top 50 in the world damage parses in different points in WoW.

Once took a taxi downtown with my family when we were in a different city, and the drive home was twice as much as the drive there (second driver took a different route). My dad challenged him on it and he backed down an accepted the same fare as the first driver.

Same company, same rates, just a dbag driver

That's not this quarter's problem, silly!

Yeah they do it with a marker when the patient is awake. Like "this is the surgery I'm doing on you, you cool with that? Ok I'm initialing that we are doing the right thing here"

Like for an amputation they'll mark the leg while the patient is awake "yes I want this one removed"

I can choose with my credit card to designate a purchase over 100 bucks as a pay over time purchase. I don't use it for anything less than 4 digits, but this year we got hammered by 4 4-digit car repairs, a 4-digit tree removal, two surgeries for our dog, and a few other unexpected big expenses. I used it for the car repairs and the dog surgeries because there was a promotion where there was no fee, it just raises the minimum monthly payment, and brought the interest down. I didn't have the cash to pay that many things off at once so I'm using to to pay them down that way at a lower rate.

But you are absolutely right, using pay later plans for small frequent purchases is not great. They might not have a choice though.

How does your produce last that long

I'm a PT. It's generally fine to sleep on your stomach. There is no one size fits all for positioning. If you are having issues, then it might be worth seeing a PT to assess and give guidance but you don't need to change things if you are sleeping well and waking up without issue

Ok I literally saw this tonight, but I think it's going to be one of my all time favorites:

I've been working on my Spanish with practice from some of my coworkers and patients. So far Duolingo's "flash cards" have actually been pretty helpful, but I grant that some of the actual "instruction"isn't there. I went from really rudimentary Spanish to being able to conduct a patient evaluation in Spanish as long as it's straight forward.

Everyone shits on Duo but I've found it to be a really helpful practice tool myself.

What is a gender neutral replacement for man, guys, buddy, etc?

So I've realized that in conversations I'll use traditional terms for men as general terms for all genders, both singularly and for groups. I always mean it well, but I've been thinking that it's not as inclusive to women/trans people....

I never used to be a tool guy, but then I finally was able to buy a house. The joy I get doing yardwork and fixing things, especially when I have the right tool for the job, gives me so much joy. I genuinely love going to hardware stores now.

IVF has a lot of frozen embryos that don't get used. Fertilized. They get extra because it can be tricky for it to take, so it often takes several tries

The hospital will have spare scrubs on hand, either for surgery or for staff to change if theirs get contaminated. Or, the patient pants are vaguely scrub like.

I'd guess they let him use some.

Hey! I did this same thing! Also cost about 6 or 700

It's Girl Scout Cookie season, so it's a great time to remind you that the Girl Scouts welcome trans and nonbinary children. Here is a list of trans Girl Scouts to order cookies from. ( www.erininthemorning.com )

Also, The Girl Scouts explicitly rejected a large donation from an anti-trans organization: https://www.seattlemet.com/news-and-city-life/2015/06/donor-says-girl-scouts-can-t-use-100k-gift-for-transgender-girls...

They changed that policy a few years ago. They are behind the times but making changes due to social pressure

Each troop is pretty self contained, for the most part. The one my son and I are involved with is very open. I was hesitant to let him join when he wanted because of all the issues in the past with the organization but now I'm his den leader with 6 other kids and an assistant leader.

I'm a physical therapist. I started as a physical therapist assistant. Way back in PTA school, our instructors brought in three people with spinal cord injuries for us to learn from. They talked about their experiences, showed us how they transfer, and one showed us his modified pickup truck that had hand controls and a crane to put his wheelchair in the back.

One of our classmates named Nancy had a habit of putting her foot in her mouth. She had absolutely zero filter. Our class guests were taking questions and one person asked about dating, in a respectful manner. Hearing about challenges related to normal stuff like that helps us to answer questions if we have a patient with a new spinal cord injury. One of the people said they had been with their gf for a few months and was talking about how they chose date activities and stuff. Pretty innocuous, nothing super personal.

Nancy makes a joke along the lines of "I'm surprised anyone would want to date someone like you," kind of chuckling as she said it. The guest speakers seemed to take it in stride but man everyone in the class was looking around clearly horrified.
