Artists signed to bigger labels most likely will not get to Bandcamp. The greedy corporate suits want to control the supply of their product and imagine that letting people buy access to the actual files increases piracy. Or something like that.

I know you were against it in the post, but you could buy a CD, copy the files with a CD ripper (e.g. Exact Audio Copy) and then sell the CD second-hand if you don't want to keep it.

Remember to also take backups of your digital music library! Preferably on two different locations, so your home burning down will not kill your collection.

What email provider do you use for sign ups?

I used to use Protonmail, however the verification steps become tedious when creating unique emails for sign ups. I've switched to Tutanota despite it contravening their one account policy. What do you all use for one off emails (for sign ups etc )? Or do you prefer one of those 10 minute email sites?

For trash sites (random forums, free software downloads, porn etc.) that do not get my real information, and it doesn't matter if I lose the account, I just use a random 10 minute email site.

For anything where I input my personal information, or deem slightly more important, I use a catch-all address in Protonmail with my own domain.

If both people have Syncthing installed, you can do that by sharing a folder between you.

But it is not like cloud services where you can generate a shareable link - Syncthing is mostly designed for syncing files between your own devices real-time.

Also Telegram's E2EE chats don't work on desktop apparently, and you are not able to see message contents in the notification (which is a plus or minus depending on you)

Asked a friend earlier today if we could use secret chat. He declined because he mostly chats on desktop, and apparently wants to see messages from notifications while driving.

Legally speaking that may be be correct, since Meta has their own advertising platform. They do not "sell your data", but what they do sell is indirect access to your data, via targeted advertising.

Project Regeneration Vol. 1's vocals are about 50/50 between Xer0 and Wayne. Some songs they both are heard, some are only Wayne, some are only Xer0. For example, Otsego Placebo's lead vocals are by Xer0 according to my CD booklet.

On that note, Project Regeneration Vol. 2 is releasing next week!
