Doing some research on the for an upcoming game, in which the heroes go up against the shadow dragon Morsinth.

The dragon believes that the victory of the Elemental Princes - and their universe-ending lord Tharizdun - is inevitable, and seeks to retreat into the shadows and darkness.

Too bad he captured an angel that the heroes need to get back.

I'm envisioning the dragon's lair straddles the Prime Material Plane and the Shadowfell, with weirdness in between.

Recommendations on good Shadowfell sourcebooks (or Shadowfell adventures to be plundered?).

(as an aside, I am mildly amused that the Shadowfell is a construct that caught on, given the general hate/dislike for 4e).

Watching the back half of Godzilla Minus One.

"This next battle isn't about a fight to the death. This battle is a fight to live for our future."

has about 1000% more character development than its U.S. counterparts.

@ipr Oh - this looks cool! I've had a blast playing RPGs with my kids when they were younger (I still play with my 17 year old and his friends every summer).

While doing my Vrock research, I came across this cool article on En World:

Monster ENCyclopedia: Vrock
https://www.enworld.org/threads/monster-encyclopedia-vrock.692272/page-3

It gives a history of the demon throughout the various editions, including dives into the monster's appearances modules like S4: The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and Heart of Nightfang Spire.

There is a whole genre of video that consists of model railroad hobbyists with realistic set ups doing video from the front of the train (making the world seem to scale) and their cats terrorizing the trains like the cutest, fuzziest kaiju.

Early morning for using starship geomorphs. .

nukehavoc OP ,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@luigirenna It's a mashup. I'm using Procreate on the iPad Pro, which is an art/drawing program and starship geomorphs: https://www.rpgmobius.com/geomorphs

I'm copy/pasting the geomorphs I want to use from my Mac to the iPad, then manipulating them in Procreate (moving them around, rotating them, using the pen to erase the parts I don't like or draw in new sections).

It's akin to the old school print, cut, and paste approach to geomorphs.

nukehavoc OP ,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@luigirenna The themselves came from the Starship Geomorphs fan supplement for . People took them and ran with them by breaking up the geomorphs into 100x100 or 100x50 blocks (as well as individual symbols).

That makes them easy to use in your art tool of choice (e.g. photoshop, gimp, etc.). https://travellerrpgblog.blogspot.com/2020/07/starship-geomorphs-20.html

nukehavoc OP ,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@SJohnRoss Just tonight's mood. Huey always helps me relax.

nukehavoc OP ,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@SJohnRoss Actually, now that I'm on Day 2 of mapping and listening to Huey, I'm realizing that it goes back to my art classes in high school.

I listened to a ton of Huey while drawing, painting, etc. Completely uncool for an 80s kid (the other art kids were listening to Pink Floyd and other, cooler bands).

Me? It was Huey. And Genesis (which momentarily got me some art geek props ... until they realized I wasn't listening to the Peter Gabriel era).

nukehavoc OP ,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@SJohnRoss I got into Floyd once I got to college, and then started working backward with Genesis. :)
