    Thurs 30 May 2024 🧵 continue

Justice says he believes that the wants him to repeat a significant portion of the .

    He will read pages 6-35.

Each page yesterday took him just a little more than a minute, so this will take >30 mins.

Between that & the testimony readbacks, also expected to take >30 mins, there will likely be >1 hour this morning w/the jury in the courtroom, not actively deliberating.

so. in January I was in a bad car accident. fractured spine, ruptured discs, cracked pelvis, broken arm. last 4 months have been v hard. tonight though I'm going back to my adult dance class for the first time. I wasn't sure I'd ever even walk properly again so this is a moment for me. a good one

it's weird seeing cops talk about college-age kids knowing how to barricade doors. like, i'm 36 and i was taught how to do that in middle school. we did 'shooter preparedness drills' once a month.

how come there's so little science fiction that positions HUMANS as the first species in the universe to achieve sapience? why do we always assume that humans are gonna be outgunned?

My dear sweet elderly mother just told me about a conversation with one of her neighbors. (They live in a small rural town in PA)

This neighbor is a white guy and ... he sincerely thought that my mom had "Obamacare" because Obama made it for black people only. Or something like that.

"Well at least you've got that Obamacare."

I want them to move back to NYC. I wouldn't trust that guy to call a damn ambulance. Mom insists he's nice. And to be fair he has done some nice things IDK. WTF

I can see some advantages to knowing if someone has autism if they are in school. But, I don't see the benefit for adults. Provided they are generally happy and coping with life OK.

It does seem to be something that people find valuable and helpful, so I'm missing something I think.

@lowqualityfacts actually, recent studies have proven that wind originates from God farting. This is why wind speeds tend to be higher around the periods of time where Taco Bell has reintroduced the Gordita Crunchwrap Supreme.

A collection of founding chambers for young queens ready for the summer. Formicaria are reuse able if you get quality products. I just like the textures and shapes of these little spaces designed to have perfect light and humidity levels. Wood, ytong, plastic, glass— so many materials.

@futurebird so freaking cool. I wanted to be an ant scientist when I was younger — they were one of my fascinations. Your photos make me wish I had followed that path.

@futurebird oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume. I know there's a Latin name for ant scientists but I didn't want to even try spelling it on my phone 😂
