I had a dog that would hump stuffed animals, didn't matter what kind of stuffed animal. Humans live by our culture, which is highly symbolic learned behaviour.

I have Proton VPN on my phone, I use RedReader app to browse reddit, works fine. I havent used my laptop in a long time, I'll have to see what happens, has Proton VPN also. I have a paid plan with them.

Second comment, the only browser I got this message on my laptop is Mull, but Firefox w/o addons, Brave browser and Tor all allowed me to view reddit dot com with my VPN on. With Tor you can visit their onion site.

Ideas never finish evolving, and in a grand sense nothing finishes evolving, unless you consider extinction to be the conclusion of an evolution. Nature goes on, the universe continues, there is no end point where things have reached a perfect evolution.

My parents were busy trying to control my fucked up sisters children, with my dad dumping as much responsibilty for child rearing as possible on my mom, and my mom passively aggressively resenting it. Same way me and my sister were raised. My family's a mess.

The first Lovecraft story I read was The Tomb. I was enthralled. Eventually I came across Herbert West. I've read most short works from two collections I bought.

Herbert West: Reanimator is one of Lovecraft's most famous tales. It's a serial he wrote for a magazine in 1920-21, a horror/comedy, one of the first sci/fi zombie tales. The science part, you have to remember it was written 100 years ago. There's been a few video adaptations, but really, the book is better because Lovecraft was a great writer.

I've always had my winter tires on seperate wheels. In the past it's been steel wheels, but for my current car, I got a matching set of OEM wheels fairly cheap bc someone had custom wheels put on their car and didn't want the OEM wheels, so I bought them at a discount from the dealer, and had some winter tires put on. I couldn't imagine getting the tires on my wheels switched twice a year, I just get the wheels swapped. I used to do it myself, it's a bit of a workout to change four wheels, these days I get a shop to do it. Steel wheels aren't the most aesthetic, although my silver Subaru looked pretty good in the snow with 17" black wheels and some aggressive winter tires. Drifting...drifting...drifting the night away!

I use KDE Connect as a media remote and to transfer files between my phone and computers. It has quite a few other functions, like remote mouse control, sms, seems to share clipboards as well.

Given the baseline adult education of the USA being about Grade 6 equivalent, 54% in a recent article, so more than half, I'd say the clowns are winning. Brainwashed, sure, it takes wisdom to understand the manipulatuon. Mosr people want the money, willing to demean themselves and enslave others for the opportunity. It's a brutal world out in reality. Send in the clowns. Nice emoji kid.

Former alcoholic here, although I abhor the term, Ill use it for simplicity. Imo, excess drinking is a symptom of other problems. I quit because I didnt want to die like that which is the inevitable outcome. But I had to get my other problems dealt with in order to quit, because for a while, like 10 years, I don't think I cared, so I needed my doctors help with that. Mainly, I didnt want my grandkids to remember me like that, dying of alcohol-related problems, nor did I want my spouse to die like that, bc we were drinking partners. So I had to get her to quit too, which eventually came down to alcohol or me, so she chose me.
