Well, it's only been a few days since Threads announced the ability to turn on Fediverse integration, but I can't help but feel disappointed with the lack of users actually turning it on as of yet...

My instance only knows about 250-300 accounts that have turned on Federation. I know this isn't nearly the full list, but it's obviously going to be limited because of "opt-in" which goes against ActivityPub to the core...😬 🤦‍♂️

Truth is I want to get back into #anime. It's a fun medium with all kinds of unique interesting stories.

My hurdle to leap is my ex was obsessed with anime. Twitch and Japanese animation were the only things on his TV at any given time. Normally this wouldn't pose the issue of enjoying an entire sect of entrainment, but I despise my ex. So much so that thinking of his stupid face ruins anime by association.

Have any of you experienced this? How can you get past it?

As someone who isnt visually artistically capable whatsoever I'm grateful for #ai and it's ability to make me feel creative in this space for the first time in my life.

I've always been musically talented, but the visual artistic talent stopped with my mother. It's nice to be able to generate unique images even though I'm unable to process them myself via these clumsy fingers.
