Fascinating, Duckduckgo isn't working for me aswell.

harald_im_netz ,

I used it in the middle of (light) bavarian forest, and it worked quite well. It had some misdetections, but overall it worked to identify all birds I could hear. Don't know how well it works in the middle of a city, or in other parts of the world.

But if you remind me in about four weeks, I can give a review of how it worked out in southeast asia.

Oh, this looks good. Three of my most adored comics during my childhood, and interesting to see a story about the people behind them.

harald_im_netz ,

Yeah, the instance I'm using currently has huge troubles with pictures and federation. They're working on it.

Ah, sad. I cannot read neither spanish or french (I understand bits of it, but yeah, not really comprehending).

harald_im_netz ,

Yeah, the lack of impulse control for some teachers, would make this scenario scary as fuck.
I don't live in the US, but would count the days, until a teacher unnecessarily shoots a student (by accident, because of a dispute, or some other stupid reason).

Tempo – An open source music client for Subsonic built natively for Android, with Android Auto support and synchronized lyrics and it's available on F-Droid ( github.com )

Hello community, today I want to present to you the work done on Tempo in recent months. This new version brings improvements to Android Auto, a first use of the OpenSubsonic API, synchronized song lyrics and the ability to customize the home screen....

harald_im_netz ,

Tried it with 3.7.0, but somehow the app stopped working, and I've continued using Ultrasonic, but will give Tempo another try, as soon as 3.8.0 is available on F-Droid. Liked the Tempo-UI more, than Ultrasonic’s.

Hi i am a complete noob who want to get into torrenting and piracy in general can people here help??

And before you say i have read the megathread atleast as much as i can because it feels too buzzwordy for me and i think it is more suitable with people with a little more experience than for litteral noobs also i want to leaen how to in android and not a pc and the megathread leans heavily into pc ....

harald_im_netz ,

Thank you for Seal, was looking for an Android yt-dlp app.

Such a great tool, but I would love to just download in MP3 320, as FLAC is overkill for a music collection, and eats storage for breakfast :-(
Is there something similar for MP3 320?

harald_im_netz ,

Thanks for the advice, sometimes it is so freaking obvious :D

harald_im_netz ,

Hey, thank you for the advice.
I'm aware of the function of an encoder, and use ffmpeg to re-encode the files from .flac to .mp3. But I was looking for a “more comfortable” way.

harald_im_netz OP ,

Thank you, I've downloaded the .md for my Obsidian notes :-)
Great starting point!

harald_im_netz OP ,

I have an HDD with... I think 4 TB laying around. What would be the best option? To just plug it into the server and leave it there?

harald_im_netz ,

Thank you for sharing this article! This prevented me from working on projects and software.
Not only FOSS projects should refrain from using Discord. Community-driven projects like Skywind are barring themselves from helping hands, they desperately need, by using proprietary, privacy-threatening software as their way of communication.

Hello, Audio Engineer with some little knowledge regarding AI here.

What you think of is restoring frequencies, this is possible, and commonly used in plugins for audio restaurization. I might be mistaken, but this does not improve the bitrate, but the perceived quality (which is still lossy).

I don't think that there is a real interest to upscale quality (not perceived quality), especially for longer (> 1 minute) material.

harald_im_netz OP ,

Oh wow, thank you. That's definitely interesting!

Moin, ist Teil des Graphic Novels “Yragael Urm”, gibt es zwei Bände von. Kann gerne mehr Bilder vom Ersten posten, der liegt hier.

harald_im_netz OP ,

It's from the graphic novel “Yragael Urm”. It's a duoligy. I've got the first issue here.

harald_im_netz OP ,

I deemed the novels barely readable, but the artworks are stunning and mesmerizing!

harald_im_netz OP ,

No, the first!

Ich glaube, mein Bruder hat noch die alte Sammlung unseres Vaters... :D

I'm on GrapheneOS since a few years now, started out with a second-hand Pixel 3A, moved to a Pixel 6, and am now on a Pixel 8 Pro.

GrapheneOS works great for my needs, and the sandboxed Google Play feature comes in handy if you really need to use an infested app, on another profile.

NFC works for me though, without an issue.

harald_im_netz ,

I'm not using it for anything like that, mostly for using my passport for digital services.

harald_im_netz ,

Like @NaN mentioned: Some apps detect, that they're not running on a licensed OS and block some or all functionality.

I'm not using any payment apps, as I'm trying to mostly pay in cash or by card. Only using NFC for my passport.

harald_im_netz ,

Great project, the first two albums were great.

Support them through bandcamp. :-)

harald_im_netz ,

I was waiting for the F-Droid release of the calendar. The switch is as easy as you can imagine: Export your settings from SimpleCalendar and import them into FossifyCalendar – that's it.
