@alice my wife is not on fedi, but she is a lecturer, Dr, in critical thinking, philosophy, surrealism, feminism, class, modernism, and helps those doing BA, MA, and PhDs to see the world differently and question more. She's so inspiring that we're being invited to weddings years later, books and papers cite her, and she's is lauded in her field, also she's the current president of the International Society for the Study of Surrealism... So just a small thing, she's Dr Gee, at Exeter Uni.

Edit: languages! She is fluent in English, french, Spanish (two dialects), Japanese (two dialects), and has translated various artists, poets, and writers, and by fluent I mean she can read, write and fully converse in those languages with philosophers and thinkers, as well as translate in archives, etc. She doesn't even credit as a particular skill she has.

I should also include myself I guess.

We can’t talk about the folly of ‘AI’ without mentioning that the market cap of Nvidia went from $2tn in February to over $3tn today, making them the ‘most valuable publicly traded company in the world’

That’s a very precarious position it puts them in for when the bubble starts to destabilise.

Expect AI to be shoehorned into absolutely everything even more than it is today, it’s a matter of survival for these people now.

@SecurityWriter they've known this for a while, if there were a list of companies that Nvidia has partnered with, that list would be very very long.

they are creating partnerships incredibly fast, all in the hope that their partners value it so highly that it injects the momentum needed to extend the current frothiness to such a point that something is built upon Nvidia and the fall isn't as far as it could potentially be

I've been circling the idea of using as my daily driver, which means to buy a new phone, blow it away immediately, and just be on GrapheneOS from then.

Is it possible to totally de-Google? Part of me assumes one still needs an active Google account for Play Store, and I know that Wallet will work for holding cards but not for mobile payments (but I'm very fine with this, having learned how much data they collect from contactless payments).

For those if you who have done this, what were the downsides?
