It says it because of this lawsuit.

Nowhere on that page does it say that the browser is still tracking them. The whole point of the lawsuit, which Google just settled, is that that verbage is not clear enough to nontechnical users that Google still knows what sites they're visiting. People don't know shit about computers, if they advertise a "privacy feature" that says their searches and history aren't being saved, they assume they're not being tracked. People absolutely should have a basic understanding of data privacy but that doesn't mean it's okay to take advantage of those who don't.

Acting like Joe Biden is fully functional and coherent is just as delusional as still thinking trump won the election. He literally just had an investigation dismissed because he was so old and forgetful. I'm still going to vote for him because his opponent is a literal fascist, but I'm not going to pretend like he isn't an absolute shit candidate.

The special council literally said there was likely wrongdoing but chose not to press charges because “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Trump is literally a fascist who tried to stage a coup, but that doesn't make Biden not senile.

Far-right Israeli minister's criticism of Biden sparks anger at a sensitive time for US ties ( apnews.com )

The Biden administration has skirted Congress to rush weapons to Israel and shielded its ally from international calls for a cease-fire in the four months since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack that triggered the war. But the White House has also urged Israel to take greater measures to avoid harming civilians and to facilitate the...

    Sublinks Aims to Be a Drop-In Replacement for Lemmy ( wedistribute.org )

Seems like an interesting effort. A developer is building an alternative Java-based backend to Lemmy's Rust-based one, with the goal of building in a handful of different features. The dev is looking at using this compatibility to migrate their instance over to the new platform, while allowing the community to use their apps of...

Same. I even went pretty regularly for months and tried all the different workouts and while I was in better shape, none of it was enjoyable in any way.

Two years for it to become enjoyable? What is it, a JRPG?

How is the vision-impared accessibility with Lemmy? Obviously good enough that you're using it but I'm curious how the experience is.

Thanks for replying, both comments came through! I'm not shocked that mlem is having some issues, since it's in like the Apple version of early access. Thankfully, it seems like the community here so far are the kind of people who care more about accessibility than Reddit ever did.
