The argument against regulation is always the same: “It stifles growth and jobs.”

But just as tax cuts for corporations have not trickled down, regulatory cuts have not benefited most people.

Big companies enjoy bigger profits. Working people bear the costs.

TRUMP: If they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone.

Yes. If you commit 34 felonies by filing false business records to cover up election interference, you too can be convicted by a jury of your peers via the due process of our criminal justice system.

In the 1960s, CEOs made 20 times the pay of their workers.

Now, they rake in over 300 times.

When people stop believing they have a fair chance to make it, the tacit social contract begins to unravel.

That's how a nation becomes susceptible to demagogues like Donald Trump.

@rbreich I am in my 50s , no retirement, no healthcare , one accident away from homelessness, and I have been fully employed sine 18 and paid all my taxes, I repeat that All My Taxes , and this is what the US social contract means now

Nothing more fun than tracking down #Trump's latest grift. For his sneakers, he's getting a fee paid to CIC Ventures, which he owns, by 45Footwear LLC, which is purportedly the shoe manufacturer. That is based in Sheridan Wyoming, in this rundown house in a grimy shopping mall.

Alex Jones was born in 1974... He's... so much younger than I thought! I thought he was two decades older than me but it's less than one.

Some things age you, I suppose.

(ETA: a photo... he's not just "gen X" he's a late gen Xer. borderline Millennial. )

(ETA 2: He made a lot of his fortune, which he isn't paying out to the victims of his attacks... selling HEALTH PILLS. They obviously don't work!)

@futurebird 2 years younger than me and I am beyond surprised, where did he get the time to come up with so much bullshit
