It's calamari face!

Accidental cutaway of hole drilled with spade bit. Also is 2x3/4" plywood a good vise jaw idea? ( lemmy.world )

I was checking to see how a 3/4" dog hole would look in a vise jaw made from two 3/4" pieces of plywood. Just clamped for the test, but would be glue for the real thing. Interesting to see the hole opened up. And luckily no splitting, but do you think it would work as an actual vise jaw? This is for a Veritas quick release front...

Personally I would go with some hardwood for the vise jaws. The plys can have voids and you a removing a lot of material from the sheets. If you can't get a piece of hardwood thick enough just laminate 2 together.

His comments seem somewhat reasonable if not slightly politically incorrect. I feel like having an opinion isn't an option when it comes to the trans topic. Any thoughts counter to the pro trans movement is immediately vehemently wrong.

I have trans friends and respect their choice but also understand that people are allowed to have their own thoughts about the issue.

The light bulbs being designed to fail is a myth. Light bulbs can last theoretically forever but when they are extremely dim. Ever seen the centennial light? You need to view it in a darkened room because it produces almost no visible light. The lifespan of a lightbulb is a function of the required brightness and power consumption.

Bankruptcy isn't a bad option if you don't have any credit or have bad credit already. You can turn things around in a couple of months. Also I am unaware of employers performing a credit check as a basis for employment.
