Russia ceased using the Kerch Bridge to supply weapons and ammunition after Ukrainian Security Service attacks, — The Independent.

Following two successful attacks by the SSU on the Kerch Bridge in October 2022 and July 2023, Russia restricted the transportation of arms across it. According to The Independent, which cites satellite imagery, there have been no military trains on the bridge for three months. Currently, Russia uses land routes in occupied eastern Ukraine to supply weapons to the front line.

Earlier, Vasyl Malyuk, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, said that 42 to 46 trains carrying weapons and ammunition used to pass through the Crimean bridge daily before the attacks. Now, even cars are going through the bridge in reverse, and their weight should not exceed 3.5 tons.

As a reminder, in October 2022, the SSU hit the bridge with a truck filled with explosives, and in July 2023, “Sea Baby” marine drones struck the bridge's abutments.

Since October, Avdiivka and other land has been lost, but now things have changed! Here today, we had 149 Videos, 55 Pictures (+News) for you today! Some bad news .

😡The Russians shot Ukrainian prisoners of war in Krynky.

One of the Telegram channels published a video recording of Russian soldiers shooting three captured Ukrainian servicemen. The description under the recording states that the event took place near Krynky.

The recording shows that a representative of the Russian Armed Forces fires several shots at unarmed stationary soldiers.

Currently, Ukrainian law enforcement officers, under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, are investigating violations of the laws and customs of war and intentional murder.

A reminder the last time a mad dictator " Hitler " commited genocide , how it all ended.

The 22 defendants at Nuremberg represented the highest echelons of Nazi power, including three of the top generals that led the war, Alfred Jodl, Karl Dönitz, and Wilhelm Keitel. The highest-ranking member of the SS was Ernst Kaltenbrunner, while foreign minister Joachim von Ribbentrop and Albert Speer, known as Hitler’s architect were among facing trial.

The sentences ranged from 10 years in prison (Dönitz) to death (Keitel, Jodl, von Ribbentrop, and Göring, although he committed suicide before he was due to be hanged). Hess was jailed for life, and died in 1987, while Speer served 20 years, was released and died in 1981.

There were notable exceptions to justice at Nuremberg. Hitler, of course, had committed suicide in April 1945 as the Soviets closed in on his bunker in Berlin, as did Joseph Goebbels, who committed suicide along with his wife after poisoning his six children.

Adolf Eichmann, one of the architects of the Holocaust, escaped Germany when it fell and ended up in Argentina where, in 1960, he was tracked down by Israeli agents and flown back to Tel Aviv to face trial. He was convicted and executed in 1962.

Trump's Secret Plan

"Handing over Crimea and Donbas to Russia", writes The Washington Post.

Privately, Trump has said that he thinks both russia and Ukraine “want to save face, they want a way out,” and that people in parts of Ukraine would be okay with being part of russia 😡, according to a person who has discussed the matter directly with Trump.

Accepting russian control over parts of Ukraine would expand the reach of Putin’s dictatorship after what has been the biggest land war in Europe since WW II. Some of Trump’s supporters have been trying to persuade him against such an outcome.

Foreign policy experts said Trump’s idea would reward Putin and condone the violation of internationally recognized borders by force.

Besides, Crimea and Donbas is not for Trump to give away - it is part of Ukraine.

CONTINUES (1/2)CONTINUED (2/2)

"Former president Trump’s inexplicable and admiring relationship with Putin, along with his unprecedented hostility to NATO, cannot give Europe or Ukraine any confidence in his dealings with Russia,” said Tom Donilon, President Barack Obama’s national security adviser. “Trump’s comments encouraging Russia to do whatever it wants with our European allies are among the most unsettling and dangerous statements made by a major party candidate for president. His position represents a clear and present danger to U.S. and European security.”

Russia experts doubted Trump’s peace efforts could succeed. Fiona Hill, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution who was Trump’s top Russia adviser and has since emerged as a prominent critic, said it reminded her of 2017 — when unvetted foreigners and business executives approached Trump with various peace plans, and he thought he could sit down with Russia and Ukraine and mediate on the strength of his personal charisma.

Trump’s team “is thinking about this very much in silos, that this is just a Ukraine-Russia thing,” Hill said. “They think of it as a territorial dispute, rather than one about the whole future of European security and the world order by extension.”

What happened yesterday in Moscow is obvious, both Putin and other scoundrels simply try to blame everything on someone else. They always resort to the same methods. It's been done before. There have been blown-up houses, shootings, and explosions. And they always blame others.

They have come to Ukraine, burn our cities – and try to blame Ukraine. They torture, rape people – and accuse them. They have brought hundreds of thousands of their terrorists here, to Ukrainian land, they fight against us, and they don't care what's happening inside their own country. Yesterday all this happened, and this absolutely miserable Putin, instead of attending to his own citizens of Russia, addressing them, remained silent for a day – thinking about how to link this with Ukraine. Everything is absolutely predictable.

Those hundreds of thousands of Russians who are now killing on Ukrainian land would surely be enough to stop any terrorists. And if the Russians are ready to silently die in "Crocus Halls" and not ask any questions to their security and intelligence agencies, then Putin will try to turn such a situation to his personal advantage again.

Terrorists must always lose. I thank everyone who truly defends life! I'm grateful to all our people who are fighting against terror. And around the world, we must defend against those who consider people merely expendable.

France is considering allowing its special forces and other units to be in Ukraine

The measure is seen as a means of creating a “strategic dilemma” for Russia, Le Monde reports, citing sources:

"The idea of allowing these military trainers to cross the Ukrainian border, potentially with other conventional units, is at the center of French thinking."

A French military presence could protect some territories of Ukraine and limit attacks from the occupiers.

The newspaper quotes a Ukrainian diplomat:
"All allied states are present in Ukraine. These are not combat units, but, for example, representatives of all intelligence services are present there. If there are deliveries of weapons, then there must be people there who physically provide information on how to use this equipment. Ukraine is also used as a testing ground for new equipment. Drones are being tested. Of course, professionals of this kind work on the ground."

Gonna post my father's Obit here. The short version
George Clyde Shaw was born in a tent on April 16, 1927 in the lamp-oil boomtown of Borger, Texas . Wanting to do his part in World War II, he dropped out of his freshman year at Live Oak High School to join the US Merchant Marine, sailing on both American and Norwegian Merchant vessels. After the war, he came home to finish high school, get married, start a family, and then began taking classes at Yuba College and Chico State University. In the early 60's, he became a History, Foreign Affairs, and Political Science Professor at Yuba College, where he taught for 25 years, became the Dean of Language Arts, and retired in 1990 as the Director of Human Resources. In the meantime, he had become an official in the California Teachers Association, and had run for the California State Assembly. While waiting ten years for his wife to retire, he was hired as a “Rent a Dean” to step in temporarily at colleges while a retired Dean, Personnel Director, or Contract Negotiator was being replaced. After moving to Clearlake in 1990, he joined the Clearlake Elks Lodge, became the Secretary, Exalted Ruler, California State Vice President, and District Deputy Exalted Ruler for his region of the state. After moving to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, he joined the Parksville Qualicum Elks Lodge as well as the Royal Canadian Legion. In 2022, he received a Gold Medal in Washington, DC for his service in WWII, and Norway's Ambassador to Canada came to the Qualicum Legion (and Elks Lodge) to give George the Norwegian Medal of Freedom in person. He passed away at Nanaimo General Hospital on January 22, 2024.
