It might be time for me to go on a news diet again. There are too many events that are beyond my control and influence and it's not effective to let such things be primary sources of worry.

Worrying about things you can't change.

Nothing I hear about the Supreme Court is calming or confidence inspiring. None of the news about the wars ... Where are the people in these events guided by something bigger than self interest, petty politics, where are the idealists?

@futurebird in the 60s it was civil rights. In the 70s it was Vietnam. People were protesting. Making their voices heard. George Floyd was another turning point. It all made a difference. We are being bombarded by one side of the isle, enforcing changes in social issues that were previously settled. There doesn't seem to be that "get involved" mentality. As you say there is so much going on. And it's likely by design.

If we don't vote this out, the other side is determined to press forward. Since there's no galvanizing point, voting is the answer? I hope so.

@mozz It never ceases to amaze, that businesses, people, causes of DJT wind up like this and yet, he still has hangers on, like they’ll somehow be different. Somehow not be caught in the web of creepiness, lies, grifting. That Trump will stay loyal to them too, even when it doesn’t suit his grifting ways. They’ll be books written about how a good percent of Americans were duped into believing one man was the answer to everything. Such lazy, dangerous thinking.

You’d think the 30s-40s would be enough of a lesson, but here we are.

@GottaLaff power grab in plain sight. At the end of the day, I’ll never understand why the Republican party allowed a convicted P grabbing bad reality TV game show host with 91 felonies who’s out on bail, to lead their party.
