Y'all focusing on them hoping to pump out "poor, uneducated wage slaves" or whatever, but there's a much bigger reason why conservatives want those children to be born.

With foster care conditions being so absolutely abhorrent in its current state, it's very easy for a child to get "lost in the system". Add in the trauma of being a child in that situation, and it is a recipe for disaster. These adults.. want those vulnerable kids.

The party who insist they are doing what they do to """protect the children""".

There's a business in that. And there are folks who want those unwanted children.

I had a friend who truly believed in the whole "soyboy" thing and touted that people with "low testosterone" or who do "girly things" aren't "real men".

This motherfucker was the most unlikable, insecure, lonely man I've ever met. I was his only true friend until I finally got sick of the radical horseshit he began to openly support.

I once was looking to get a cat and found the goofiest looking idiot on Craigslist. Turns out, it was a purebred Exotic Shorthair that was surrendered to a shelter because it didn't look fucked-up enough (it could still kind of breathe through its nose). New owners wanted to recoup costs because they adopted another cat that was "more playful" and the exotic was getting eye-goop on their white carpets. A wonderful standard for purebreeds!

I changed his name from "Luigi" to "Waluigi", and he was best best buddy for many many years.

Last time I saw a female-centric issue brought up on Lemmy, folks were very openly hostile. It also became a discussion of "well, what about men?? Men also experience this issue!!!!" while frothing at the mouth (search up "women-only Lyft" to see the hostility + comments completely missing the point).

Sure, you need to be a bit more tech-saavy to use Lemmy, but the spaces & discussion here meant for women are often invaded by unfriendly folk and people who barge in to joke about/make light of the things that are being discussed.

Partners who want to do everything for you.

They're very giving, and will do you so many favors, and cater to your whims. Favorite ice cream? Let me go buy it for you! Need something from the store? I'll go get it! Need a ride? Got you covered!

Once they have you "locked down" (married, pregnant, in a long-term lease, dependant on them for transport, etc.) they can do a 180 and suddenly "you owe them". No more favors. Only guilt. They'll isolate you and make every negative emotion they feel be "your fault."

They want you to become dependant on them so they can use and manipulate you.

Be so very careful with overly kind/giving people. Never let yourself be 100% dependant on someone else. Ever. No matter how nice they are to you.
