I'm not qualified but I know when I don't know everything and can smell bullshit from people underplaying a serious aspect.

The first step to knowledge is realising you don't know anything as they say. As i said, i used to work for nhs and my parent comes from a medical background. To say anything they deal with is simple or easy to understand is laughable.

My wife couldn't for 8 years... Childcare was and still is a nightmare. She's going to apply for her first job since we moved from Ireland. We had zero benefits etc all this time.

A true dentist is basically a surgeon.

There's massive rightfully so prestige in that and they are a doctor by title.

But most aren't that. Which is fine, not every dental appointment is a lower jaw line reconstruction. My mother had her entire bone "replaced" from her teeth to the nose line by a dentist. It was long ass surgery. It's fair those people would like more than the "nhs rate" cleaning service.

Her teeth were basically "free floating" with a thin bridge holding them together as the fake bone was hardening.

She described it as basically sand being poured in and activated to solidify.

Wild stuff, it was done at the cost of the materials used and still cost thousands.

Moral of the story? Make friends with a dentist who will operate on you after hours for free.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. But I can't say the bank put the gun to my head and made me overdraft! I did that, yes, it's due to my financial situation which is the result of everything else going tits up.

Not to go on the "we have it better here"... But it hasn't occurred to me you guys get charged a fee per transaction, that's wild.
My bank, if i go into an overdraft, will charge a % of what i owe after 24h of not clearing it. There's no "pay X because you went under". I pay interest on what i owe to the bank per day till i clear it.
