Why?

That makes zero sense. There is no reason to do this.

Who profits from it? Somebody must. Money is the only reason these ghouls do anything.

This headline is annoying. Dude has done a million cool projects since he got famous as a child actor. Let him fucking grow up already.

Is it worth the solar panels I'm getting? ( lemmy.world )

I'm sorry for posting this here. There isn't a solar panel instance, nor did I see anything for electricians. I know there's been a lot of gripe with certain solar companies (solgen being in litigation, and others) but I didn't hear much about freedom forever, since they're new to Seattle area where I'm doing this. Reddit seems...

I paid 26k for 8.4kw three years ago from A&R solar in Seattle.

So far so good 3 episodes in.

The look and feel of the world is great.

The characters are pretty believable.

Writing is good so far.

Cruelty is the point with these monsters.

Most people over-index on maximizing compensation or holding on to stability. But there’s more to work than money and stability. Work is about growth, building connections, working on things you care about, being challenged and creating a legacy.

Fucking legacy? Is this a joke? Who gives a shit about what shitty products they launch for FAANG companies? I certainly don't - not beyond keeping my resume and portfolio up to date.

Compensation and stability are the only things that matter beyond basic working conditions and a non-toxic environment.

I strongly disagree with the people who say pet insurance is prohibitively expensive.

We pay around 120 per month for both of our cats and it has paid for itself several times over. When we had 4 cats, it was under $200 per month.

One emergency surgery can be over $5,000.

Dental issues can be extremely costly.

We had a cat with chronic allergies. Insurance covered his ongoing immunotherapy treatments which were over $100 per month.

We had a cat with cancer who had over $10k in treatments and surgeries covered in less than a year.

I strongly, strongly recommend you get quotes from a couple reputable providers. We have been very happy with trupanion.

Then, call your vet and ask how much surgery for an abscess, tooth extraction, cancer treatment, or broken leg is. Then ask how much an ultrasound is.

We have saved thousands of dollars over the years with pet insurance.

These projects should come with strict minimum wage requirements and maximum profit margins for the corporations that run them.

If you pay young people 40 bucks an hour to work on bridges, they will come flocking for these good jobs and regard the fed positively for life.

But they're being institututed by dems so they'll pay 17 an hour, work nights, and give the CEO leeway to pocket 15 million bucks a year.

I've been doing this for a decade.

Highly recommend it. The only thing some people don't like is using a keyboard and mouse on the couch, but there are endless solutions for that.

10 years ago, I started dating a girl and her cat licked my hair. We got married and have lots of cats together.

I have both a dog and a backyard. Walking is far more interesting and stimulating for him than letting him run around in the back.
