Mastodon will display rich text such as underlines, bold, italics etc if they are in posts from other kinds of Fediverse servers.

However, Mastodon itself doesn't support creating rich text posts unless you're on a server that uses unofficial customised software such as Glitch Mastodon.

I found a neighbor with a magnolia tree that's growing past their fence, so I can sit there and take all the pictures I want without feeling nervous about pointing my camera towards somebody's house.

Looking at the same flower, but from lower, so we see only the outside, not the inside, of the petals. Again, many more pink blossoms in the background along with beautiful blue sky.

⚠️ Avoid using flashing images or emoji on posts or profiles, as they can be physically dangerous to people with certain neurological conditions. (It's okay to post animations and videos, they just need to avoid rapid flashing.)

There is an option in Mastodon for people to prevent GIFs autoplaying, but not everyone is on Mastodon. A lot of people may be seeing your post through a shared web link.
