Rest of Europe doesn't like or use type G. It is bulky, can be used as a weapon, can only be plugged one way and compensates for shitty wiring that no one else needs or wants.

It's not worth the trade off of the giant plug in my opinion. And local fusing doesn't really protect the user directly, it protects the wires. Modern codes in Europe put the equivalent of GFCIs on all circuits which can actually save lives.

If I understand correctly from the article this already happened 2 years ago, so shit can only get worse from there, because the past year has been breaking new records as well.

This and the duplication of communities and also the fact that my account is not just a generic, across the verse account, but specific to an instance that can shut down or disaaper and remove all my preferences and post history.

These things were what was confusing when I joined and what I still think are the biggest issues with this platform. The fact that I hypothetically look up reddit alternative, find Lemmy, join the first one that shows up in the results without knowing any better, look up communities and there's like 5 of the same ones or none because it's defederated from others, the instance blocks NSFW communities because they are prudes, is blocked by others for various reasons, and then they could shutdown a week later removing my account is just insane user experience tbh.

You can check blocked stuff here https://sopuli.xyz/instances. Your instance is not blocking NSFW so most probably you need to check your account settings. There is a "show NSFW" checkmark in there.

I know I'm going to get down voted for this but this would be almost impossible to fuck up with a gui. Yet people insist that writing commands manually is superior. I'm sorry for your loss.

This is on me for sure that I've never seen anyone be faster using a CLI compared to a GUI especially for basic operations which is what most of us do 95% of the time. I know there are specific cases where a command just does it better/easier but for me that's not the case for everyday stuff.

I don't understand the need for multiple PCs. Why not run everything from one or two?

It's very confusing because there's settings for it in the apps, then there settings for it in your account and finally some instances don't even federate with NSFW content so you have to check at all 3 levels to get it working.
