Well, I'm not from the United States, but I suppose this will force those cities to offer a viable alternative to homelessness. Things like free housing or the like

100% agree with this, we have to put tariffs on China and assume the consequences when they respond with a little courage, if at the first increase they make in tariffs on wine or pork we cower, this will fall on us

As a European I always wonder why Americans don't create an alternative party to the Democrats, after all it is the party that in 2016 cheated in the primaries so that Hillary would win and still lost to an idiot.
If you create a real left-wing party you can seriously propose things like socialized healthcare just as the right is not shy about proposing crazy things like banning abortion.

The only difference is that they have been successful in colonizing the Republican Party and the Democratic Party is simply an outdated instrument that no longer represents its own bases.

Energy needed to leave your planetary system vs energy available on your planet of origin.

We have not yet overcome it and I am not sure that we will achieve it.

She was elected by the European Parliament (elected by all citizens) at the proposal of the council, which is formed by the heads of government (elected by all citizens).

I'm not saying that the system is good, but between that and not being chosen by anyone, I think there is a lot of distance. Now she is clearly the EPP candidate so whoever votes for them will know who they vote for, I wish the rest of the groups did the same.
