Unfortunately you saying that still has the same credibility as your first statement. It's just your word. I don't doubt they do on occasion but to say ALWAYS refer to themselves that way is a lot to take on word alone.

It's less bs than you think, still unlikely sure, but not a non zero chance.

For awhile their was a single point of failure in telcom for the midwest in the us. Because the core router was so old and didn't play well with failover. It took them several months and a lot of intermittent issues to get it replaced and working as expected.

Even if Krav Maga teaches more attacks and more "leathal" attacks. i would hope 5 of them at the same stage as these individuals, 4th degree black belts and instructors, would be able to restrain 1 individual without permanent damage.

When i think of someone that is that well trained i think they are trained in more than just the moves. Going through my martial arts training we were taught the fighting mentality and spirit as well as just the moves.

Edit: I've never been through either of these training styles so I'm making assumptions and may be wrong.

Yeah, that's how i started using them as well, it just increases the odds. I went through a phase of "wanting to be in a relationship" and that was the focus of the apps for me. I would read every bio and then decide if i swipe right or not and think about how we would be good for each other. That was taxing and took a lot out of me emotionally.

Eventually i realized it really is just a numbers game. So i just looked at pictures and if i liked them swiped right. Then if we matched i would read the bio and have conversations.

That being said i was the one that got swipped right on and am thankful to have deleted those apps a year ago. I feel for those that are stuck in the online dating hellscape.

I get that, in my experience it was just weeding through the bad ones. I had my fair share of un matches/ghosts/a holes.

I also hated taking pictures of myself and had a mediocre at best bio. What worked for me was not getting emotionally invested in the apps/matches.

The matches that i got and went out on a date or two with i was very up front that i was still using the app. It wasn't until our 4th date that my partner and i deleted our apps.

Anywho, just wanted to share some hopefully positive advice. You will find the right one for you! Just have fun with it and try not to take it seriously

I dealt with that stuff too. I would try a couple times and if it goes that way, just un match. Do it for yourself, you are worth finding someone that is legitimately interested in you. Just have to go through some that are not a long the way

Yeah, that's the one that has me doubting the entire list. My kids do get a "sugar high".

The wording they use is off and may be technically right. but if we are going based off the wording they use i don't think it would be a common belief.

No, i just gave my experience, what i seem to have seen in my life, and question the list. I'm happy to have a conversation about it or i wouldn't have posted.

The point op is making though is that in court a attorny can strike people with minimal reason. Which includes all those protected classes. They have a limited amount of those strikes but they can do whatever they want with them.

For instance, if the person on trial is part of "religion A" and that religion is known to stick together with a cult like fervor an attorney could strike strike a juror of religion A for "cause".

Ease of use/ ease of access. Any asshole can grab a gun and do something bad with it. It takes a halfway literate asshole to Google someones "cookbook download" and read the pdf. Then take the steps to do anything with it.

You also see this sort of thing about cops. I just learned ACAB, all cops are bastards, today. Which I'm getting increasingly tired of. When you try having a discussion with people they are just as stuck in their ways as the right and don't realize it.

Do i think all cops are saints no. But demonizing entire jobs/professions/whatever right wrong or indifferent is the same reason i stopped watching some news. All doom and gloom.

At some point there is a line drawn in the sand that "xyz" means they are no longer in danger of going extinct. It may just be a text book definition but thats what the person is showing you. You can disagree and say "it suggests the opposite" or it doesn't provide proof, but that take can be applied to anything.

We can say humans are going to be going extinct because of the climate crisis. While a valid concern it may not meet the text book definition of going extinct so we are not on the list.

Dis this man they can't be added back later? No of course not. But at this point in time whoever makes up the rules think they meet the criteria for being labeled a recovering population.

I mean there is though right? A bad person will objectively continue to do bad things. A good person will do what they have to but try to change things for the better.

Take a serial killer a bad person right? and a cop that does what they can to serve the community but occasionaly has to do something like this. Are they the same person?

How so? If you are saying all cops are bad, or at least not good. What reason did any good hearted person have to be a cop if that becomes public sentiment? Then it becomes aself fulfilling prophecy right? That all cops are bad?

I am by no means a coward, I'll discuss things from the right and the left. I don't fully agree with either. It's people like you that i disagree with the most though. Zero thought, accusations, delusion if i didn't know better i would think i was taking to my right wing nut job of a cousin. But he can barely figure out facebook much less lemmy.

I guess it depends on your varying levels of bad right? In your example you are saying cops are bad because they are doing the same thing as the bad people but getting paid for it so they are the same. In my mind 1% of what they do is shit sure. Having to evict elderly people. Arresting homless people for being homeless. Using unnecessary force on mentally unwell people. For just a very short list. What about the good they do? Crime deterence, taking drunk people of the road, responding to domestic disturbances, helping people figure out what is actually legal or not, serving and enforcing restraining orders.

Regardless of what i say i think we are just on opposing sides of this with differing opinions and that's fine, i wish you the best

My problem when i was younger was i didn't pay attention much to my bank account and would unknowingly overdraft. So i would get hit with 10 over draft fees out of nowhere for buying gas here, a pop there, a drink at a restaurant, just small charges that if i were smart didn't need and would have just done what you did. It's the un anticipated overdrafts that killed me when i was younger.

To be honest, dating 20+ is a shit show. The things i learned about dating in my teens didn't help me dating in my 30's. Sure they have issues dating but we all do. It's the willingness to learn, adapt, and care for someone else that i don't see in incels and that isn't learned from dating in your teens. They seem to blame outside forces for their issues and not seek to improve themselves

100%! I am not saying learning these things doesn't help. But blaming lack of dating in their teens for an incel becoming who they are is not a valid justification in my opinion.
