Some time ago I decided to surprise my group with a map. I have never drawn a map (other than dungeons or battle maps) but hey, I'm an illustrator, I'm sure I can do it. So I did. The next step is to colour it but I'm proud of myself. What do you think, are they gonna like it?

Excited to start 2024 with an personal world building art challenge, Super City 24 (see hashtag below). This is the start of a thread of all my posts, pinned to the top.

GOAL: To build a city of 4 neighborhoods/areas, 31 locations in January 2024 and then use in a solo RPG game. I did this year and found it super rewarding to make something then putting it to use.

So, the first area for my SuperCity24 challenge is done. The first area is the one the hero is most comfortable in and calls home.

The Old-Town is an area that still has remnants from the original textile/clothing factories from it's earlier days. It's an area that is warm and 'old world', a place where time seems to move slower.
