"For more than 56 years, what was termed the ‘peace process’ – a process that led nowhere – was actually a series of American-Israeli initiatives to which the #Palestinians were asked to react. Today, ‘peace’ must be replaced with #decolonization, and Palestinians must be able to articulate their vision for the region, with #Israeli|s asked to react." - #IlanPappé
"From air strikes to field executions, #FaultLines investigates the killings of civilians by the #Israel|i military in #Gaza and the role of the United States in the war. [..]
"Fault Lines worked with journalists in Gaza to profile three families as they try to survive the war."

"Mouin discussed the significance of the struggle for Palestinian freedom and its links with democratic movements across the world, including that of the Global South."
"His applications wholly ignore, any and all, issues unconnected with the current situation in the Gaza Strip. Nothing about the crime against humanity that is #apartheid, nothing about the war crime of illegal settlement, nothing about #Israel’s previous onslaughts against the #Gaza Strip, or its systematic sniper attacks against demonstrators during the 2018 #GreatMarchOfReturn." - #MouinRabbani
"#Israel's reaction to the announcement by Norway, Spain, and Ireland, that they formally recognise the State of #Palestine, shows again that Israel seeks #annexation and permanent occupation over Palestine .. "
"#Biden referred to Israeli policy toward the #Gaza Strip as a mistake. A mistake is when you take a wrong turn at a traffic light [..] but when over the course of 6 months you kill 10s of 1000s of people [..] that's not a 'mistake,' that's a deliberate policy and that's why #Israel has been hauled in front of the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide" - #MouinRabbani
Ex-Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence official #AliciaKearns, chair of the House of Commons [#SelectCommitteeOnForeignAffairs] said at a Tory fundraiser that legal advice would mean the UK has to cease all #ArmsSales to Israel without delay
Here is a post from the developer on the AT-AP connection (bridgy fed).
Please read it, and there’s a very good discussion in the responses, too.
Also as I discussed offside with another user: all this panic is missing the biggest thing here - it GOES BOTH WAYS. And if the past bridges to twit spaces are any indication, it isn’t going to be “them” trying to follow “us”. The bridge will allow US to follow our contacts who went to Bsky rather than mastodon.
@Johannab#blueskybridge#opt-out There are issues with Bsky’s bridge (and other bridges) obviously, else there wouldn’t be a discussion. In the end, isn’t it about communities vs corporatism? I’m happy connecting to my community and other ‘communities’ but connecting to a money-making enterprise, that’s crossing the line and requires my ‘informed consent’. As for the technical details, not my area of expertise. IMHO

"Armed Israeli settlers raided more than a dozen Palestinian communities under the army’s guard, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake"
Amjad #Iraqi explains why Palestinians identify with Khader #Adnan, a prisoner who died on hunger strike, for his struggle against #israel#prisons.
"Those trying to undermine public anger over the hunger striker's death don't want to talk about the violent carceral regime that he struggled against."
"Despite their narrow focus, recent international sanctions against settlers are laying the foundations to turn verbal condemnations into tangible action."
