I have a feeling, Marjorie Taylor Greene's reelection campaign will find itself challenged this year.

Going viral on social media right now: Moscow Marge — the Kremlin action woman.

@randahl it’s a deep red district. Without seriously money for ad’s it’s s probably not going to happen. But, who knows, some time ago a deep red district turned out to be blue 😀

"It becomes clear that the GOP remains deeply divided on the question of Ukraine, mostly because a huge number of them are either part of the Putin caucus or in some way allied to it. We can see this in the final vote tally, which had 112 Republicans opposed to it and only 101 in favor.

This means that, once again, the 'majority of the majority' party voted against the measure."

"Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s conspiracy theories, vitriolic language, and xenophobia have made her a darling of the right and a pariah on the left—and now, she’s gained admiration from Russian state television. …

'She believes that Americans should help Putin win. Yes, you heard that right. To help him win in Ukraine,' says host Evgeny Popov in one clip."

"Russia's one path to victory in Ukraine leads through minds and mouths in Washington, DC. Russian and Chinese propaganda therefore celebrates the inability of Congress to pass aid for Ukraine, and praises those who hinder the passage of such a bill. But the specific propaganda memes that China spreads (and some American leaders repeat) about the war are of Russian origin."

"Russia is the leader in this field; China is imitating Russian techniques and Russian tropes. …

Insofar as legislators such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and J.D. Vance are vectors of propaganda, they are themselves playing a part of the Russian (or Russo-Chinese) operation."

"As such they are not merely spreading fictions; they are also modelling a 'Russian' style of government, a politics of impotence, in which big lies are normal, corruption is thought to be routine, and nothing gets done. Russian lies about Ukraine are meant to prevent action to help Ukraine; but in a larger sense they are also meant to spread the view that those in power are incapable of any positive action at all."

As Charles Jay reports, Rep. Jared Moskowitz has filed amendments to the Ukraine aid bill asking that Marjorie Taylor Green be named “Vladimir Putin’s Special Envoy to the United States Congress," and that Greene's office be named the “Neville Chamberlain Room.”

Heather Cox Richardson notes that Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to load the Ukraine aid bill with to require “restrictions on ethnic minorities’, including Hungarians in Transcarpathia, right to use their native languages in schools are lifted.”

As Richardson states,

"This language echoes a very specific piece of Russian propaganda."

It's almost like Majorie is taking direct orders from Vlad.

MOSCOW MARJORIE:

Yes, that's a good nickname for Marjorie Taylor Greene, who's a walking, talking megaphone for Putin right in the heart of the US government.

Ken Buck, who retired as a Republican Congressman last month, has given her the nickname of Moscow Marjorie.
