Why does the U.S. let Israel get away with it?

Today in Labor History June 8, 1967: The Israeli military attacked the United States and got away with it. Israeli aircraft and boats attacked the USS Liberty during Israel's "Six Day War," killing 34 U.S. sailors and wounded 171. The U.S. government “investigated” the attack and issued a whitewashed report calling it an unfortunate mistake. However, witnesses and critics dispute this claim, calling it a deliberate attack by Israel to silence U.S. criticism of Israel’s war tactics. According to George Ball, undersecretary of state at the time, the attack set the stage for future Israeli policy by sending the message to Israel's leaders “that nothing they might do would offend the Americans to the point of reprisal. If America’s leaders did not have the courage to punish Israel for the blatant murder of its own citizens and soldiers, it seemed clear that their American friends would let them get away with almost anything."

Where the hell are the "international observers" who were queuing to visit the "mass graves" in Ukraine? Where is EU? Where are US state department? Where is UN?

What does it take for the world to (at least) investigate these allegations?

Children, they mass murderer children, and they buried them in mass graves before leaving.

This is not fiction, like the 40 beheaded babies, it was recorded and documented by people who uncovered the bodies.

But the media is posting the story as "Hamas claims" as a way to discredit it even before people read it

It's truly sickening to keep witnessing such outrageous atrocities not only go unpunished but also covered up and buried.

Why just why is Israel so freaking above all international laws and impune?

Any other country in the world had done even a fraction of the crimes Israel have omitted just in the past 6 months (not to mention any of the crimes before that) would have been treated like a pariah state, sanctioned and boycotted to total collapse.

But something is making Israel untouchable. Is it the Holocaust guilt? Is it blackmail? Is if money?

I have been asking those questions all my adult life, starting from the invasion of Lebanon and the Sabra and Chatila massacre that went unpunished even today.

You cannot film the police, now you cannot investigate them either.

For IDF, they are all legitimate targets and US, UK, France, Germany and Canada will support their rights to defend against these dangerous enemies.

Public opinion

“Public opinion in the world, by and large, is fed up with the fact that Israel is killing humanitarian aid workers, doctors and journalists and getting away with it – killing with absolute impunity, unapologetically and still receiving weapons and political support.”

Israeli reservists and senior officers, speaking to Israeli media about footage obtained by Israeli drones shot down by Palestinian resistance, confirm the deliberate targeting of unarmed Palestinian youths in Khan Yunis.

The officers highlighted that the youths posed no threat to Israeli forces and may have been searching for food when they were caught in a designated “killing” zone set up by the Israeli occupation army in various areas.

They know they comitted war crimes, they are not even trying to hide it.

Question is, why the majority don't care?

It's not like we don't have a UN mandate any more.

Israel is showing Biden and the rest of the world his middle finger and no one is doing anything about it.

Where are all those screaming about Hamas doesn't want ceasfire folk?

Where are all the folk?

@palestine @israel

It has been 24h since the UN demand for ceasfire.

Israel has completely ignored the demand and not shown even a hint of complying with the UN demand.

The silence of world leaders and their inability to hold Israel accountable is once again proving that their talks about rule of law and human rights are anything but empty talks.

Israel Held 82-year-old Gaza Woman With Alzheimer's for Two Months as an 'Unlawful Combatant'

Israeli soldiers arrested Fahamiya Khalidi in early December at a school in Gaza after she fled her home due to IDF shelling. She was moved to Damon prison, where she was refused a meeting with an attorney and was only freed after an appeal.

The Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Prison Authority arrested and imprisoned for almost two months an 82-year-old Gaza woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. She was jailed under the Incarceration of Unlawful Combatants Law. Because she was considered an unlawful combatant, Damon Prison in Israel's north also refused a request by a lawyer from the Israeli organization Physicians for Human Rights to meet with her.

She was released 2 weeks ago after HR groups filed complaints on her behalf.

on trial?
This is not what the organises. Its role is to establish the law.

A halt of invasion?
In 2022, the ICJ issued a condemnation on the invasion, to no consequence.
Kate Ferguson: “Will it be enough to stem the tide of atrocity crimes? No, of course not.”
