It’s about everything that’s wrong. The sky is turning to night at 1:30 on an April afternoon but the golden hour colors on the horizon curve to the left and right at the edges. The breeze is several degrees chillier, bugs and birds have gone quiet, cattle in the distance march for their barns. There’s not a soul around to bother, just the totality of nature
Change of location today: After a flight from Helsinki to Vienna, and a four-hour drive by rental car, I am now in the Salzkammergut area of Austria. Our hotel for the next two nights is “Lesehotel” (“Reading Hotel”), filled with more than 10,000 books and sporting great views of the magnificent mountain scenery.
For #MountainMonday: A spring rainstorm flows from the clouds to the mountains in British Columbia, Canada. Eagle Mountain and the Buntzen Lake area appear to be receiving the brunt of the rainfall while the sun breaks through the clouds to the west.
As the #sun doth sink 'tween tower and age-old walls,
The plaza basks in gentle, warm #orange embrace.
In tranquil eve, the #city waits, as #nightfall calls,
Preparing for nocturnal symphony to grace.
A Perkins Brailler that one of my colleagues in work uses and kindly allowed me to share with you for #FotoMontag ☺️
The Perkins Brailler is said to be the most commonly used braille writer, and although a lot of work is done on more modern technology, it is still widely used.
