I've had very little time to focus on my art the last months unfortunately (renovation truly is a killer of artistic endeavour). However, whenever I had some minutes I've spend it on this portrait. No speedpainting, just working in my own rhythm. This portrait is based of a photograph of cod-fishermen from , . Taken in 1910 by Anders Beer Wilse. The man depicted is unknown, sadly.

A black and white photograph of 3 fishermen bearing huge codfish on their back, taken in 1910. They look over their shoulder to the photographer, seemingly having fun. Down below is written in a small sans font " norwegischer lebertran", german for "norwegian codfish oil".

Here's the print I just printed on Thursday. It is called The Old Lifeboat Station at Lizard. I managed to get 9 good ones.

£5 from every print sold is donated to the RNLI.

I am now getting ready for Winchester Print Fair, wrapping up unframed prints and restocking cards and garlands.

I feel like I'm getting slower and slower at printing. I used to do 12 to 15 prints a year.

Anyway this autumn I will be able to focus on experimenting with natural media and also some abstract prints. I will be doing fewer fairs than usual in the autumn to allow me to do this.
