Remember, while you are welcome to bring to polling stations today, they must be left outside unless they are for assistance.

Doctor Who

2nd Doctor
Evil of the Daleks Part 4 (Animated)

This episode has a lot of action sequences for Jamie. Glad I’m able to watch a version of it now.

My original watching through the 2nd doctor era I had to skip a lot of stories. Now there are only a few missing stories without an animated reconstruction. Maybe someday I can watch the complete Troughton era.

Catching up on Doctor Who.

And by catching up I mean watching the animated reconstructions I’ve been collecting but haven’t watched yet.

Next up, 2nd Doctor, The Evil of the Daleks.

The Bubble and Dot episode of was splendid dark comedy.

The vapid ninnies of Finetime may have been the least-sympathetic People Who Needed Saving in the history of the series.

Is this episode the one that canonized the idea that Susan kind of just showed up calling herself the Doctor's granddaughter? Or has this always been canon?

Honestly the new UNIT building just has me thinking about Torchwood One

Also, big Satan Pit vibes here. That episode is not talked about enough.

Another Saturday, another fun - I think the most fun this season. Although I wish we'd had something like this earlier (and, arguably, for some people, The Devil's Chord filled that gap), in the series of events and, indeed, the actual month we're seeing it, it's absolutely perfect. Although I imagine, for people who aren't fans of period dramas it won't land quite the same. Spoilers to come in the comments.

Hey did you know I have a newsletter? I DO! It comes out once a week, it's free, and it's my most provocative thoughts on pop culture, SFF, queer stuff, or my own life experience. Topics have included , writing, internalized transphobia, and the truth about "cancel culture". I would consider it a personal kindness if you would subscribe!

I think Ncuti Gatwa might turn out to be one of my favourite Doctors of all time. Loving him so far.

What is that accent that the new Doctor Who has? I know the actor is Scottish, but it's not Scottish. His parents are Rwandan, but I don't think it's Rwandan. It's weird (to me, at least)

I agree wholeheartedly with the article title. If you're a hater and you haven't quit Who yet, then I hope Jinkx makes you want to quit it. Bye bye.👋🏾

David Tennant: “I remember gay rights being weaponised politically. That always felt ugly & nasty… 30 years later & those people are clearly on the wrong side of history. Now there is a similar weaponisation of these topics… to create friction & conflict & division where it needn’t be. It’s just about people being themselves. You don’t need to be bothered about it. F**k off & let people be”

Just showed the kiddo The Church on Ruby Road and she loved it! Watching her fall in love with the show I grew up loving is priceless. She wants to watch the new season with me and I can't stop smiling. Did we have a talk about timelords? YES!!! Yes we did!

Finished watching the Tom Baker adventure "Pirate Planet" last night. Great gonzo concept.

The Captain is pretty much a panto character; we only learn his weakness and tragedy in the last reel.

Got any suggestions for TV?

No horror, please, nor gritty dystopic tough guy stuff. Over it.

Recently I've enjoyed , , : Strange New Worlds. Caught up on .

ST:SNW in particular really hit the spot. We can actually work together to fix things, ya know. (I know ya know :) )

I'd also consider some light mysteries with some style - big fan of and for instance. Or heist stuff like and
